    1. Hi Isaac,
Thank you for contacting us. The RAV4 is a 5 seater car and we would’t recommend fitting a third row of seats in your car. Hope this helps.

  1. Hi had a tow bar fitted but the caravan seems to sit very low if i go over a sleeping policeman she scrapes ,the tow bar company says this is the right tow bar for this car,has anyone any ideas.

  2. Hi I just purchased a Rav4 2007 model, 2.0litre, petrol, what I realise is the fuel consumption is very high and it is costing me £60 -£80 a week to fuel it.
Also any time I go over 60kph the engine sound changes to a strange one restricting to lower the speed. Can you advise what I am not doing right. This really disturbing and making me regret of buying RAV4.
Again it did not come with a boot cover, making it unsafe for me to leave shopping in the car. does the boot cover come as an accessory? if yes where can I get that from please.

    1. Hi there,
Thanks for your comment. In response to your first question, we would advise contacting your local dealer. Your Toyota dealer will be able to advise as to what you need to do. With regards to a boot cover, a boot liner is available to purchase as an aftermarket accessory. Your dealer will be able to order one for your specific model! Please let us know if you need help finding your nearest dealer. Many thanks.

Thank you for contacting us. We’re in talks with our multimedia team and we’ll get back to you when they’ve advised us further.
With regards to your previous question, a boot cover doesn’t always come with the car as you purchase it, but you can buy it as an aftermarket accessory. Your dealer will be able to order one for your specific model. You can find your local dealer here: https://www.toyota.co.uk/find-your-dealer.json. Hope this helps.

  3. Hi, Could you help me out with a bit of information? What is the boot capacity of a Toyota RAV4 2.2 D-4D XT-R 4WD 5dr, 5 seat from 2011? I think the version is ALA30L-BWFGRW(2H). Cheers.

    1. Hi there,
Thanks for your query. The boot measures 586 litres and with the seats forward, this increases to 1,469 litres. Hope this helps.

    1. Hello Wendy
      Thanks for your post.
There should be a button in the glove compartment where you can stop the automatic closing.
Hope this helps but if you have any further queries please let us know.

  4. I have a RAV 4 XTR from 2007 5doors. I’ve changed the Cabin Air Filter (pollen filter – from behind the gloves compartment) last week – but the plastic cover is broken and I can’t set it back in the place. I’ve tried to find a replacement- but here in Britain, no chance. Only in USA. If any body can help me with a link from some dealer I’ll appreciate a lot. Thanks!

  5. Dear,

I bought a new RAV4 recently (stockcar RAV4 lounge edition bought in Belgium built on july-2014)
And I have the button for Voice recognition, but when I press it it says “voice recognition not available”
I wonder If this can be fixed, is this the because of missing software or is it a hardware issue?

    Thank you,

    1. Hello Stijn
      Thanks for your post.
For the UK market voice recognition will only work if Touch 2 + is fitted to the car so it depends on which satnav version you chose. However it may be worth double checking this with your dealer in Belgium incase this is different for your market.
      Hope this helps.

      1. Hi, I have just bought a 65reg invinsible and my voice button says the same. Is touch 2+ a different stereo/sat Nav? Or can the touch 2 go be firmware upgraded?
        Thanks Richard

        1. Hi Richard,
Thanks for getting in touch. The Touch 2 with Go Plus is an upgraded version of the Touch 2 with Go system with additional features, such as voice recognition.
We’d advise you to go to your local dealership to have your multimedia system upgraded to Touch 2 with Go Plus navigation. You can find your local dealer here: https://www.toyota.co.uk/find-your-dealer.json.
          Hope this helps.

  6. As octogenarias, having run our THIRD PRIUS, this one a Plug-in Prius, almost exclusively on FREE FUEL we have been PAID to generate (via solar panels & the innovative Baxi’Ecogen’CHP domestic c/h gas boiler) for the past 2 years,we hope Toyota will consider adding a BEV RAV4 to the range, with a BEEFED-UP MOTIVE BATTERY,or,at least a HYBRID version! We traded a RAV4 T-SPIRIT in for the original PRIUS. We had wonderful holidays, just wandering at will, mostly in rural Spain, Portugal, France and the Netherlands in the RAV4 & its predecessor, a Carina diesel.
There are currently 4 Toyotas owned by the immediate family (courtesy of ‘Bank of mum&dad’),
2 from Vantage, Blackburn & 2 from Vantage, Tamworth.

    1. Well spotted Peter and you are quite correct! The 2.0-litre petrol engine does have 149 bhp. We will amend this straight away.
