By most accounts the Government scrappage scheme, worth £2,000 to the owner of a car ten years old or older, has been a great success. The scheme is generally credited with reinvigorating vehicle sales in the UK in the second half of 2009.

It’s official: Toyota announced this week that an international trial of the plug-in Prius will start next year, followed by a full production model in two years’ time. Prius named Top Gear City Car of the Year
It’s been a great week for Prius. The full hybrid made the Green Car Journal Green Car of the Year shortlist and then was named WhatGreenCar Car of the Year, and now it has another award to its name: Top Gear City Car of the Year.
