“After test driving several SUVs, I picked the RAV4 and have not been disappointed. The cabin is very spacious and all of the controls are within easy reach. The electric boot is great, especially when shopping in the rain.

The RAV4 has all of the mod cons I need and I would highly recommend one if a reliable large SUV is what you are looking for.”

3. “Excellent”

“Our fifth consecutive RAV4…the build quality is superb, the fit and finish is excellent and as with previous cars we have had (the RAV4 is) creak and rattle free.

It’s on the road where the new model really excels…the car has a smoother and more urgent feel to it (than the previous generation) while engaging sport mode enhances the throttle response and gives a more purposeful feel to the steering – it really is a pleasure to drive…

To conclude; (the RAV4 is) an excellent car…the dealer network is excellent and having covered over 180k miles in previous RAVSs with no reliability issues whatsoever – I highly recommend these vehicles.”

4. “Value for money”

“I love my RAV4; the AWD system is amazing. While everyone else is skidding around on the snow and in particular ice, the system makes the car drive like the tarmac is just wet…”

“Having run a 2010 RAV4 petrol automatic for three years, I upgraded to the 2013 model.

The new model…is so much better. (The) handling is very good, comfort is great and the interior/dash layout is superb. The 2.0-litre engine is so much more responsive.”

“It is a very pleasant car to drive. The new automatic is a big improvement on the previous version’s four-speed gearbox.

The ride is entirely acceptable with a feeling of safety and stability. The car is quieter than the old model at both low and motorway speeds, and tyre noise from the 18-inch wheels is not invasive.

This is a superb car and a real advance on the previous RAV4 model.”
