Work begins this morning (Wednesday, 10 February) at 206 Toyota service centres across the UK to implement the fix to the accelerator pedal on the cars affected by the recall.

Toyota GB has announced further details of its accelerator pedal safety recall programme in the UK.
Following yesterday’s confirmation of the Toyota vehicles affected by the recall in the UK, the DVLA is in the process of providing contact details of owners and registered keepers of these vehicles.

Some owners may have heard a radio interview today with the Motor Insurance Bureau, where reference was made to Toyota drivers no longer receiving cover. This is categorically not the case, as the Association of British Insurers (ABI) have confirmed in a short statement.
