Last week’s Moving Motor Show gave visitors the chance to test drive the new Auris Hybrid on the day it launched. We caught up with the lucky drivers to find out what they thought of Toyota’s first full-hybrid compact family hatchback…

Well, the Prius is back safely, and Charlie, Alex and myself have all been fed and watered (if not quite properly rested).

After Tuesday’s glorious drive, we awoke to signs that day six was going to be different. The rain and wind built steadily until we left our overnight stop at Nolton Haven on the far west Pembrokeshire Coast, by which time the weather was officially filthy.
Again.

We’ve enjoyed a fascinating few days keeping up with the lads’ progress on the road with the Prius. It’s been great to see them meeting up with people who read the blog and even better to read those peoples’ reactions to the car. The blog has seen a lot of commentary about our ‘door step challenge’, so I thought it would be cool to look in more detail at the comments that people have left.

This morning we were looking forward to a lovely drive and I was worried about our fuel consumption. Well, we had it half-right.

Well, that was quite a day. On Sunday night we managed to relax for the first time since leaving the south coast, and on Monday morning we even had a lie in. But on our way to meet Mark, motorway signs started warning of bad weather to come.
