  1. Hi,
I have just got a Toyota Auris Icon Tech (2018) A’s a company car.Firstly, my reg no doesn’t work on the My Toyota registration, secondly, is there a way to I put a full post code on the sat nav. Seems to only let me get the first 4 digits in.

    1. Hi Jason,
      Thanks for getting in touch.
We apologise for this and the inconvenience this has caused.
Regarding the registration number not being able to work, please use the vehicle identification number (VIN) instead and we will look into this for you.
You can find out how to find it here: http://blog.toyota.co.uk/finding-your-toyota-vin-vehicle-identification-number.
The postal code should allow more than four characters, please be advised, once you have finished the first part of the postal code (3/4 character depending on the length of the code) use the ‘space’ function on the multimedia user interface. This should allow you to consequently enter the second part of the code.
If this does not work please do get back in touch with us.
      Thanks.

  2. Hello, there still appears to be a big problem with the map update for the Toyota Touch and Go system. I recently updated my maps by purchasing new maps through estore. The maps have installed but I can only enter the first four characters for the postcode such as BR1_2. I have spoken to a few of the dealerships in the London area and none have a clue as how to rectify the issue. I paid £110 for the map update and advise owners against this upgrade.

    1. Hi Naz,
      Thanks for getting in touch.
Please could you supply us with your Reg Number or VIN number so our Multimedia Team can investigate into this for you.
      Thanks.

  3. Hi ive just purchased a 2012 Rav4 XT-R 2.2 with touch and go nav does the speech recognition function work on my model as its saying not available every time i push the speech button on the steering

    1. Hi Simon,
Sorry for the delay. We’d recommend upgrading your multimedia system to a Touch and Go Plus if you wish to use this facility. Hope this help.

      1. Thanks for replying to my question do you know where and how much the upgrade would cost? I assume it’s a download of an update for the media system that need installing.

        1. Hi Simon,
This is a hardware fix, not a software fix. We’d advise contacting your local dealer in order to upgrade your multimedia system with the voice recognition feature. Hope this helps.

  4. Hi, trying to enter my My Toyota ID in my new Prius, but I need the underscore to enter my email address. How do I add an underscore as it doesn’t show on any of the available keyboards

      1. Would can I install sat nav into my Toyota verso as it didn’t come with one and also, how can I know the type to install. Possibly the cost of it will be appreciated if known

        Many thanks

  5. Hi I have a 2012 Toyota Yaris with touch and go and would like to change from Miles to KM.
I have found in the general menu were you change it. I have change it but all the data shown is still in miles even though the selection in the setup is Kilometres
    Please help

    1. Hi Jason,

Thanks for getting in touch. Can we ask what it is you’re trying to change from miles to km?

      Thanks

      Maria

      1. I am trying to.change the units from.the touch screen to from miles to km in order for the trip computer on the touch screen to appear in km. But each time o.go to.change it it immediately reverts it back to miles. It will not store the change in the general menu. Also is there a way to.change the digital display on the odo metet to desplay the car milage to km?

        1. Hi Jason,
Thanks for coming back to us. We would advise going to the ‘Setup’ screen on your display, select ‘General’ and scroll down to ‘Unit of Measurement’. You should then be able to change it from miles to km.

          1. that is what I do. But it does not change the displayed units to KM. it only display’s them in MILES. and after going back into the menu, sometime my selection km goes back to miles automatically.
The other thing that I notice is if you have the engine running and you change it to KM it keeps the selection but will not display the measurements in KM but only in miles.
But if you do not have the engine running and try to change it from MILES to KM then it will not save the change. It goes back to miles automaticaly

          2. Hi Jason,
We have run your query past our technical team and they have advised that if this does not work, you should take your vehicle to your local centre for this to be investigated. Do you need any assistance in finding your nearest dealer?

  6. Dear toyota help

I have just bought Toyota Yaris 63 number plate and disappointed to find that Sat Nav not installed. Could you please tell me how much does it cost to have this installed from the Toyota dealer.

Is there anyway I could install it myself from online resources.

    My Reg number is BU63AEO.

    Many thanks

    1. Hi there,
Thanks for your comments. We would have to suggest speaking with your dealer about this, they will be able to give the exact pricing of installation and whether this is possible. Many thanks.

  7. More info. I have now connected to the internet and still cannot get traffic info display on my sat nav. Im using an iPhone 5 is that a problem?

    1. Hi Barry,
Are you using the Touch & Go system? Can we also ask what vehicle you are attempting to connect on?

        1. Hi Barry,
We are in talks with our technical department and we will be back in touch once we have some further information 🙂

          1. Yes I have a my toyota account. Bluetooth is working fine. I can access other internet functions like street view. I just can’t get any traffic information

        2. Hi Barry,
After speaking with our technical team, they have advised us to check that you have a My Toyota account and have connected your phone via Bluetooth AND got Bluetooth tethering turned on?

They suspect that your account may not be linked to the vehicle, or the phone is not tethered via Bluetooth to allow a data connection. If you can confirm this then that would be great.

          Many thanks 🙂

          1. Hi Barry,
Thanks for confirming this. We will speak with our technical team and get back to you 🙂

  8. Hi . I have just purchased two yaris icons with touch and go 2. On one of them the speed camera alert is too loud whilst on the other it is too quiet. I have checked instruction manuals, videos and forums to no avail. My Toyota dealer is I am told one of the largest in Europe yet all they can offer is that it is in the settings! They also said just turn the volume down when it goes off. Can you help?

    1. Hi Andrew,
Thanks for getting in touch! You should be able to alter this when the alert sounds, by turning the volume control down. You are also able to turn the route guidance instructions down in this way or via the “volume settings” menu. You first need to select “general settings” to see this sub-menu.

If this still fails to rectify the issue, we would advise you to contact your Toyota Centre, as the system may need a reset or potentially an update, however the Toyota Centre can advise when they inspect the vehicle. Can we check if you been on the My Toyota website and downloaded the Owner’s Manual for your vehicle? Many thanks 🙂

  9. Hiya
I have a 63 plate Yaris was told it had sat nav on my touch and go. It has all the other features working Bluetooth, phone etc but I really wanted it for the sat nav. How do I get it to work?

    1. Dear Trish

Did you get this sorted out? I have the same problem with my 63 number plate Yaris bought two day ago. How much does it cost to have this sat nav installed from the toyota dealer?

      Thanks

  10. Hi there. I just got 13 reg Toyota verso icon 1.6 advertised as full navigation, navigation isn’t installed.

What do I do to get this installed please?

    Many thanks ks
    Temi

  11. On My 66 plate RAV4 hybrid has sat nav and the voice instructions disappeared completely and I couldn’t even find a hint in the handbook or the menus as to how to recover it! In the end I googled it and found this page which whilst not giving me the answer spurred me on to try again. Eventually I found that pressing and holding the “ear and exclamation mark” screen button and turning up the audio volume at the same time the voice came back. Not very impressed especially as it’s not anywhere in the handbook or the setup instructions…

    1. Hi John. We’re sorry to hear that you had an issue. We’ve had a look at the Touch 2 With Go manual which does advise how to change guidance volume on page 21. We’re glad you’re sorted now, and if you ever have any other questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. Thank you.

  12. Why can’t my touch and go pronounce place names correctly? In my previous Prius when driving abroad in France the speech was immaculate. Now in my Prius+ the sat nav has turned into a bumbling fool and tried to pronounce all the letters at once. So, recently in Besancon, the road ‘Winston Churchill Boulevad’ came out as ‘bleh!’. This is after the most recent update. It’s a shoddy piece of kit and vastly inferior to it’s previous incarnation in the 11 Prius. Phoning Toyota hq just results in a – we’ll call you back, which never happens. If I insist on results they put me through to a random dealer who then tells me to call Toyota hq as it is nothing that a mere dealer can sort out. Come on! Get your game together and help a frustrated customer.

    1. Hi Paul,
Thanks for your post. Have you got a case number from our customer relations team? We can chase your case up for you. Many thanks!

      1. Ella – no, because your people kept fobbing me off to dealers. I did have a case number for the initial problem which I have now lost, which dates from Thursday.

        1. Hi Paul,
We’ve spoken to our customer relations team here at Toyota and someone should be in touch with you soon. Many thanks!

  13. The nav system in my 9 month old Avensis has spontaneouly changed its distance and speed settings from miles to km. I cannot find an option to change it back in any of the settings menus please can you advise why has done this and how to change it back.

    1. Hi Charlotte,
Thanks for your post. We would advise going to the ‘Setup’ screen on your display, select ‘General’ and scroll down to ‘Unit of Measurement’. You should then be able to change it from km to miles. Hope this helps. Many thanks.

  14. I have recently bought a 63 plate Yaris hybrid which was described as a 1.5 Icon Nav. I’m disappointed to find that the navigation system is not installed. The car should not be described as nav if system is not installed. A bit of a sales con

    1. Hi Michael,
Thank you for your post. We have spoken with our technical team and for us to look into this further please could you provide us with your car registration and VIN number and we will be able to look into the further for you. Many thanks.

      1. I have the same problem in my 62 reg Yaris that I have recently purchased. Do I have to purchase the Sat Nav separately?

        1. Hi Catherine,
Thank you for your post. Please could you provide us with your car registration and VIN number and we will be able to look into this for you. Hope this helps and if you have any other questions please let us know.

      2. Hi Michael, my Verso has NAV and was sold as with navigation, can you check if this is correct? reg number is HG14DAA and Vin is nmtdg26r00r066803 thank you

        1. Hi Omid,
Thank you for your post. We have spoken with our technical team and they have advised that your car has not had satnav software fitted either in the factory or at port of entry. The Verso Icon as per the spec sheet does not come fitted with satellite navigation. Your local Toyota dealer can help by installing a satellite navigation system. Your local Toyota dealer can be found here: https://www.toyota.co.uk/find-your-dealer.json. We hope this helps and please let us know if you have any further queries.

  15. please advise if the following can be dealt with by any setting. when the car is in reverse and the screen displaying the rear view any incoming call on the mobile set up with bluetooth will switch the screen from the rear display to the phone screen asking if i want to accept call or not. i find this very dangerous.

  16. Hi,

I have just bought an Auris, 2012 plate, which has a touch and go screen for the rear camera but the Sat Nav does not work. How do I install the software for the Sat Nav? Is there software that can perhaps activate the voice recognition button also?

    Many thanks

    1. Hi there,
Thank your for your post. We would advise visiting your local Toyota Dealer where sat nav can be installed into your vehicle. In order to activate the voice recognition button Touch & Go Plus will need to be installed by your local dealer. Your local Toyota Dealer can be found here: https://www.toyota.co.uk/world-of-toyota/find-your-dealer.json. Hope this helps and if you have any other questions please let us know.

  17. HI,I am not able to enter the full postcode and it is slowly becoming not useable. Just using my phoe for my navigation. You just cannot enter SG1 1BE. Max you can enter is SG1 1. then you just have to choose from the 3 options and they are not the ones i need. Can you please check this?

  18. Hi I just thought I’d share this for anyone having the same issue. My satnav on my Auris lost the volume and I spent ages trying to find how to restore it so I could hear what the navigator was saying. Eventually I rang my dealer and asked them and their advice was… “what you need to do is wait until she’s giving a direction and then use the volume control”. When I pointed out that I didn’t know when she was giving a direction, as I couldn’t hear anything, the dealer advised me to give it a try. So having spent a journey watching the satnav and trying to work out when she was about to speak, and failing to get the volume back, I gave up and did a web search, which led me here. Eventually I saw the post regarding the setup button and the general setting, so I tried it and lo and behold there was the navigation volume control, and guess what… It worked. So a couple of points, firstly you need to advise your dealer staff better and secondly it would be very handy to have “navigation volume adjustment” in the manual index, because I looked in both manuals and couldn’t find it. Thanks 😀😀

    1. thank you for that Jamie ive lost my sound will have a look at that now, I haven’t even got a handbook, not a chance of finding anything on their website, I want a handbook

    2. Really helpful hint. Thanks Jamie. I pressed the Nav button twice to get the speaker icon, clicked that then pressed the + button and hey presto could hear the voice 🙂

  19. Hi I have the latest 2014 aygo with the navi system and I can’t seem to get it to change to from kilometers to miles?

    Many thanks Emma

    1. Hi Emma
Thank you for your post. We have passed this over to our technical team and will get back to you with an answer shortly.

    2. Hi Emma,
Thank you for being so patient. We have checked with our technical team and this can be changed. Firstly go to your navigation page, then the User settings menu and select units. Here you will be able to switch from metrical to imperial system. Hope this helps clarify but if you have any other questions please let us know.

    1. Hello Mildred, thanks for your message. Are you near to a Toyota dealer? They will be able to install the correct software to your Yaris. Please let us know if there are any other things we can help with today.

      1. How much does it cost to install the correct software in the UK, do you know if we can send routes to the car without sat Nav being installed?

        1. Morning James. Which Toyota model and year is your car? With this information we can ask for specific technical advice and any costs if you don’t have Nav installed. Thanks.

  20. Hi, I’ve had the Yaris 1.3 SR 2013 for 2 days; how do I stop the sat nav when I no longer require any more direction? Once I am familiar with my surroundings I quite like to just hear the uninterrupted sound of music, but I don’t seem able to stop it.
Also, is there a way to turn down the sound of the navigation voice, without turning down the sound of the music? Is there any reason why all this info can’t be in the owner’s manual (if it’s in there, I do apologise and kindly ask you point me in the right direction.)

And while I’ve got you, are you able to tell me which ‘type’ my car is, so I can work out the tyre pressure =)

    Thanks

    1. Hi Murphy, thank you for taking the time time contact us. You should have two manuals, a owners manual and a “touch screen” owners manual. Questions regarding Sat Nav route guidance and audio can be located in your touch screen manual. On page 47, routes can be checked, changed and recalculated during route guidance. 1) Touch “Options” on the screen (bottom right) 2) Touch desired item (Stop Guidance). To Turn voice guidance off follow these few steps. 1) Press the “Setup” button. 2) Touch “General”. 3) Touch the items to be set – Navigation prompt volume. 4)Touch OK. If you’d like to adjust the navigation volume during guidance, press the speaker symbol and then adjust the navigation audio volume. We recommend checking your touch screen manual for further information. With regards to checking which ‘type’ your car is, your local Toyota dealer can advise you further. To contact them please visit: http://po.st/QNJejw. We hope this helps.

      1. I didn’t get any manual with mine, am I able to buy one as I do find them handy, everything done online, which I don’t always have time to do would rather just look something up in a book, ive got 2015 yaris

    1. Hello David
      Thanks for your post.
You can change the satnav settings from km to miles if you press the Setup button then press General. You will see the unit of measurement which can be changed. Hope this helps.

  21. Hi I have a 63 plate auris hybrid. Two things have happened recently to my touch and go satnav. Firstly all my locations stored and previous have disappeared. It will not hold the information at all now plus settings have changed and will not store. Every time I switch on I have to change km to miles etc. Also the blue tooth screen has nothing available to press to connect anymore. The options are dark grey.

    1. Hello Grant
Thanks for your post and sorry for the delay in replying.
Sorry that you have experienced a problem with your satnav and we have passed this query to our technical team. In these circumstances they have recommended that you take your car to your local Toyota dealer and let them have a look at this for you. Sorry that we are unable to provide a more conclusive response and any other questions please let us know.

  22. I have a 2014 Auris1.6 and it won’t let me enter the full post code on the sat nav. A 10 minute trip ended up in taking me an hour of turning round and eventually using my smart phone. Help, please

    1. Hello Chrissie
      Thanks for your post.
Sorry to hear of the problem you have experienced entering in the postcode. Can you advise how much data you are able to enter? Say for example if postcode is AB12 (then press spacebar) 3CD? Let us know and we will see how we can help further.

    1. Hi David
      Thanks for your post.
Sorry to hear of your problem with entering the post code and while we have run this past our tech team they have not been able to advise why this should be the case. We are presuming you can enter all other address details ok? They would need more information about exactly what is happening to comment further but the simplest and quickest solution would be to run this past your local Toyota dealer to have a look at this for you.

    2. My neighbour has just bought a new Avensis with the same issue. It is because it is defaulting to another EU country (czech republic in his case) and this does not allow a post code to be entered. You have to press the edit symbol to the right of the country and choose UK first.

Compare to his tom tom, it isn’t very good.

  23. Hi, I have a Verso bought in September 2013 with Touch & Go. I have had problems with some aspects of the navigation system since the car was purchased. One is not being able to change the instruction distance which has often resulted in being told to take the exit as I have just passed it and the other is the instruction to ‘keep left’ when in fact it should be ‘take the exit’. Would a map update solve these problems?

    1. Hi David
      Thanks for your post.
From what you have described the system will count you down (in terms of distance) to your exit (if we have understood you correctly) you can zoom in on the map scale as this often help make the manoeuvre a little clearer. However if we have misunderstood then please let us know. It is unlikely that a map upgrade would address this particular issue though.

      1. Hi David,

Thank you. You have answered my question in that I wanted to know if there was any way to change when the instructions are given. The system countdown is part of the problem as it announces the final distance too late which is why one often goes past the turning you should have taken. It is as if it doesn’t take account of speed accurately. In terms of safety, I strongly believe it is safer to rely on the verbal instructions rather than have the distraction of looking too much at the screen, especially near junctions or exits or if not certain as a result of the confusing directions given.

If I had a choice in future I would prefer to have a Tomtom type navigation. I do not know what system Touch and Go uses but I have almost reached the stage where I will use my old Tomtom in the Verso as it has never let us down. The instructions are clear with exits and lanes and it is not necessary to look at the screen too often to verify the verbal instructions.

The Verso is great and other aspects of Touch and Go work well but the navigation could be better.

I appreciate your help but it seems there is nothing we can do. It is useful to know an update is unlikely to change the issues I have.

        1. Hello David
          Thanks for your post.
We do appreciate your feedback about the Touch & Go and will pass this back to the product team. It is good to know that you are enjoying your Verso otherwise but we do take on board your comments about the satnav. Just for further information when we introduce an upgrade, the majority of this would be map updates, operational issues can sometimes be addressed in response to direct feedback though.

  24. I have a 2014 Auris Hybrid and have now stored quite a lot of POIs (over 150) on the sat-nav. Is there any way to change the order they are listed?

Currently my POIs are listed A-Z, but ideally I would like to also see them by distance from current location or distance from current destination.

    1. Hi Martin
      Thanks for your post.
We have checked this information for you with our technical team. They have confirmed that it is only possible to see saved POI’s in alphabetical order, however if a search is carried out from the car then they can be sorted by distance from the current position, along the navigated route or distance from the destination.
Hope this helps clarify but let us know if you have any other questions.

  25. I have a Yaris Hybrid I am having trouble with the satnav
I cannot put in a full post code I wanted to put on DE11 9PQ what I got was DE110 I could not enter the road or anything else
This is not the first time this has happened with this car .
Is this me or the satnav?

    1. Hello Mrs Patrick
      Thank you for your post.
We did run this past our technical team who have checked this further, The postcode you mention was able to be used on a car fitted with Touch & Go (we are not sure which version you have but this should not make a difference). Are you pressing the space button after entering DE11? This button is on the lower right of the screen and looks like this ˽. This then would enable you to enter the rest of the postcode.
Hope this helps and let us know how you get on.

  26. I have the toyota yaris 1.4 2013. I keep trying to use my sat nav feature but everytime i press the button, it shows on the screen “system not installed”. How or what have i got to do to install it?

    1. Hi Daii. Thanks for getting in touch. It’s difficult to say without having more info but it sounds like you’ve bought a vehicle that only has the Touch system installed. You’ll need to speak with your local dealer about upgrading to Touch and Go, this includes the sat nav feature. Hope this helps.

  27. I have a 2014 Prius Plug-In which replaced my 2007 Prius. Is it possible install the sat nav software from my old car? There are lot’s of things I don’t like with the new one: no North arrow, no permanent scale bar, very cluttered map that’s hard to read (especially at night), poor choice of alternate routes, car-location arrow that’s so big it covers up features on the map, the way it behaves at junctions… I could go on. I really like the plug-in, it’s a great advance on the older Prius, except for the sat-nav which is almost unusable compared to its simple, clear, well-designed predecessor.

    1. Hello David
Thanks for your post and we do appreciate your feedback regarding your recent upgrade to a Prius Plug-in.
Good to hear that you like the new car however we have passed on your disappointment regarding the satellite navigation operation to the product team. They have the responsibility regarding specification and features. We did speak with our technical team but unfortunately it is not possible to install the satnav software from your previous car. When we look to introduce a new car we do look to try and improve features and specifications from previous models and we are therefore sorry to read your comments. We do need to take these onboard during future product reviews.
      Thanks again for your feedback.

  28. I have a Verso trend and the satnav is driving me nuts.I want to enter a street Richmond Avenue in Lisburn with a postcode od BT28 2DL.I only get as far as BT28 2 and it gets predictive and I can get neither the full postcode nor the street name.Help, please?

  29. Is it possible to brighten the screen on the touch & go system when driving at night?
    I have a 6 month old Yaris!

    1. Hello Mrs Moore
      Thanks for your post.
It is possible to adjust the contrast on the screen and you just need to access the screen settings. Press the Setup button on your unit and then press the Display button in the top. You will then see buttons to adjust the contrast and brightness.
Hope this helps but let us know if you have any problems.

  30. I have a 2014 Auris Icon Plus and the satnav is driving me around the bend. When I start to enter a few letters of an address the satnav will enter a address not wanted by me and not stored by me.How do I stop this infuriating nuisance?.

    1. Hello William
      Thanks for your post.
Sorry to hear about this and we have run this past our technical team for you. They have confirmed that the system will use predictive text if for example you enter the town and then go to enter the street name. They have advised that the safest way to avoid this would be to enter the postcode (if known of course) as this would prevent this issue from occurring.
Hope this helps but let us know if you have any other questions.

  31. Hi – I have a 2013 Auris Hybrid, normally the roads scroll and the car is fixed on the display when I use sat nav, however when I get to a roundabout the road is fixed and the car moves around it, if the roundabout is large the car disappears off of the screen. How do I change it so the road scrolls when I go round a roundabout as it’s impossible to use as it is, thanks.

    1. Hello David
We have seen your two posts in relation to your satnav operation and have run them past our technical team.
They have suggested that on the map screen select “options” then “map settings” then “touch “Automatic map zoom” to set this function to on.
The map screen will then zoom in at the junctions. If however this option is not available then you may need to update your map/software and your local Toyota dealer can help organise this for you.
      Hope this helps.

      1. Thanks for the reply, I have done what you said but the same thing happens other than the display zooms in on the roundabout, so I’m still left with a sat-nav that’s unusable at roundabouts. Any other suggestions?

          1. Hello David
Sorry for the delay in replying on this.
We have run this past our technical team again but their recommendation is to take your car to your Toyota dealer and perhaps demonstrate the issue you are experiencing. This will help them identify what is going on with your system and whether it is performing to specification. Sorry that we cannot be more conclusive but it is sometimes difficult to diagnose issues online.

  32. I own an Auris 2013 model and whenever I get to a roundabout using the sat nav the map stops moving and all I see is my car travelling around it, sometimes when the roundabout is large my car disappears off of the screen, if I go all of the way around it my car is travelling towards me on the screen, when I take a road off of it the display reverts back to it working normally, how can I stop this as quite frankly it’s completely useless

  33. Is there a way of changing speed warning from 5km to 0 , so that when you are at the speed limit It will warn if over, my previous car warned when over by 3%.

    1. Hi Lucy
      Thanks for your post.
We have checked this with our technical team and we can confirm that voice recognition is not available on Touch and Go only Touch and Go +. The voice recognition button will be on the steering wheel of all grades of model should a customer order this specification.
Hope this helps clarify but let us know if you have any other questions.

  34. The touch & go blue tooth has voice rec on the steering wheel but I can’t get it to work I have I phone 5s when you press it it say can not connect

    1. Hi Azad,

To change km measurements to miles, you need to do the following:

Press the ‘Set up’ hard button.
      Touch ‘General’.
Scroll down to the second page.
Select ‘Unit of measurement’. Change this to miles.

Unfortunately you cannot change the voice on your Toyota Touch and Go unit.

      Hope that answers your questions.

      Will

  35. I am getting a new auris hybrid icon excel on sept 1st on the sat nav how do I correct a wrongi
Item I have logged in and how do I delete a route when it is finished with

    1. Hello Derek
Thanks for your post and hope you are looking forward to getting your new car.
You can correct any wrong item entered by using the “back” arrow and you will also be able to delete destinations from your system. You can do this via the Navigation screen then clicking into My Destinations. Then go to “Stored List” and you will see the option to delete the contact.
Hope this helps for now and let us know if you have any other questions.

  36. Hi there, I know the Toyota Touch 2 multimedia with Go Navigation has the option to show Speed Cameras – Is it possible to have an audible warning as well ??

    Thanks Bob

    1. Hello Robert
      Thanks for your post.
You can have the audible warning as well. It gives a beep as you approach and beeps again as you are about to pass. If you mute the voice, it mutes the beep as well.
      Hope this helps.
