The winning entry was then produced by design agency Creative FX, wrapped onto a chilli red Aygo Move with Style, and given to the winning entrant to nip about in, and show-off to friends and family for a week.
After reviewing all of the entries, we were won over by Tom Fazarkerly’s colorful and brilliantly simple crepe paper-effect design , which fits perfectly with the Aygo’s ‘No hassles, just fun’ ethos. As an additional prize, willdlife fan Tom, was given a year’s membership to the National Trust, and a goody bag containing a welcome pack and branded binoculars.
In order to produce the design, the team at Creative FX first had to produce a computer-generated mock-up; this was then printed onto a high-quality vinyl, and laid onto the Aygo’s roof in a special, temperature-regulated workshop. To add a touch of glitz, Creative Effects added jaggedly cut shards of mirrored plastic, that glisten in sunlight.
The following day, the car was delivered to Tom at his home in Lancashire. During his time with the Aygo, Tom and his grandchildren took the car on a road trip, taking in the Yorkshire Moors and visiting the UK’s highest inn at Tan Hill, Swaledale, and Lancashire-based attractions such and the Martin Mere Wetlands Centre.
