  1. Hi again Mathew
I would have loved to take photos at Longcross and forwarded as you suggest but the Joining Pack stated that mobile phones were not permitted & by implication the use of cameras was also prohibited. Not sure if these restrictions will apply at Mira but it occurs to me that site may be equally as sensitive.

  2. Thanks for the review John, great to get feedback from people who have driven the car.

If you or any other readers have got photos of the test drive days that they wouldnt mind sharing with other readers, then by all means send them through to us and we will put a post up on the blog.

Also, if anyone is using sharing sites like flickr or photobucket for their gallaries then let us know as we will link to them from here.

  3. Hi Mathew
In answer to your comment above I am pleased to be able to confirm that I thought the new Prius an excellent car and much improved over the current model.

Having read everything I could find on the Internet over the last few months I was concerned that in America, where the car has already been launched some owners were critical of the lack of steering feedback,
unequal feel to the footbrake and a general lack of refinement due to wind noise over the bonnet and tyre noise. On the road tests at Longcross yesterday I was able to dismiss all such criticisms except for the one about tyre noise on some course surfaces. However, this is bound to stand out more because the engine is so quiet. The best thing about the car was of course the fuel consumption. The readout credited me with 93.6 mpg around the test circuit. My only criticism is that the car does not have an auto dimming rear view mirror and in my view (no pun intended) that is penny pinching on what is an otherwise fantastic car.
My preference is for a T3 with Vermillion red paint.

    John Jackman.

  4. Hi John

Thanks for the comment and I am glad that you enjoyed the event.

Out of interest, what did you think of the new Prius?

  5. Hi Mathew

Thank you for making it possible for me to attend the pre-launch event at Longcross yesterday evening. I have been to many new car launch events and this was without doubt the most well organised and enjoyable of the lot.
