This is the new Toyota Proace City compact van and it will make its public world debut at the 2019 Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham on 30 April.
Attractive, broad and highly capable, the new Proace City range will further strengthen our European light commercial vehicle (LCV) line-up.
In terms of size and payloads, the Proace City van is designed to sit perfectly alongside the established Proace medium duty van, award-winning Hilux pick-up and legendary Land Cruiser Commercial. Together, we envisage the foursome will continue to increase Toyota’s presence in the LCV market – a segment that is enjoying steady growth in Europe and is on course to achieve around 900,000 sales by 2021.
Developed in collaboration with Groupe PSA, the new Proace City range aims to meet user needs with different loading, seating and powertrain options. It will be available in two chassis lengths, both of which can be specified with three front seats, and as a panel or glass van.
The longer version is also available as a crew cab. A passenger version, known as the Proace City Verso (below left), can be specified with five or seven seats.
Full UK specifications will be confirmed nearer to launch but equipment will include a host of features that deliver enhanced safety, a comfortable driving environment, as well as improved performance and practicality.
Want to know more about the new Proace City and Proace City Verso? The important areas of capability, practicality and safety will be discussed in greater detail in three further blog articles, all of which will be published in the week of its debut.
