Stories extolling the legendary reliability of Toyota vehicles can be heard all over the world, and the same can be said of Toyota’s hybrid vehicle range.

In this exclusive Toyota Stories video, Bob Old adds his voice to the growing number of satisfied Prius drivers who have racked up galactic mileages without breaking a sweat, so to speak.

Bob is a man that values technology, economy and unquestionable reliability, and he has yet to find a car to match his second-generation Prius in each of those respects. In it Bob has travelled over 365,000 miles with little more than consumable items such as tyres and brakes needing to be replaced by his friendly, Prius-savvy dealer. Everything else, from the engine to the hybrid battery pack, is original and still functions perfectly.

Indeed, having spent so much time with his Prius, Bob calls it his ‘perfect fit’. Might it be yours too?

If you have got a story about your Toyota, why not share it with us here.

  1. If you drive your car normally, and not with “race mode ON”, you will be able to maintain a “healthy” car for a long time, that goes for all car brands but the special thing about a Toyota is that it can even handle better the “abuse” of a car on top it’s durability 🙂

I have a 98 Corolla with over 130,000 miles (210,000KM), the engine still performs as usual (thanks to the Toyota yearly maintenance), going to chage it now for a Hybrid to reduce contamination and fuel usage, also advance with some new technology. 🙂

I think that Toyota are doing the right thing by selling you, good technology, innovation and realible cars instad of all the “bling bling” fancy stuff the other cars sell.

  2. This really inspires confidence in the Prius. As the owner of a 2007 Prius, I now have 125,000 miles on the clock, and having bought the car used with 60,000 miles, it has also proven very reliable. Apart from brake pads and brake disks, the only mechanical failure to date has been a water pump on the petrol engine, but this didn’t fail it just leaked a little, so my local Toyota at Llandudno Junction advised a replacement.

I am hoping for at least 200,000 before I consider a replacement, which will probably be a Toyota hybrid. Excellent car to drive so far…..
